7. Colliery Spoil Heap.

This is a spoil heap of the former Warren’s Hall colliery, which provides panoramic views of the local area.

Return down the steps to the tarmac path, turn left, follow the path downhill, and turn right in front of the lake to climb the wider path uphill, with the lake on the left.

To the right behind some trees was the site of Warren’s Hall Colliery Pit No. 2, another of the coal mines operated by the Earl of Dudley, recorded as working in 1825 and disused by 1938.

Continue up the path to the metal barrier at the car park, and turn left, follow the grass path across the top of the field, and look downhill to the left.
